STUMP STORY OF THE DAY✍️

Olympics THRILLER: Cole Hocker And The 1500m!

Arguably the most exciting moment so far in the Olympics came from the event we all though it would…The Men’s 1,500m!

There’s a quote I once heard and it goes like this, “They come to the show to see the stars.” Well in yesterday’s Men’s 1,500m final, there sure were stars and man did the fans come out!

Jam packed stadium to see reigning World Champion Josh Kerr (Great Britain) and the defending Gold Medalist Jakob Ingebrigtsen (Norway). Both cruised to the Finals are were expected to be the Top 2 finishers in this race as well.

The American COLE HOCKER said ‘HOLD ON A MINUTE’!

For about 1,300 meters Ingebrigtsen held strong in the lead. Hocker started the race in the middle of the back but slowly gained his ground and found himself in the mix in the final lap. He was in the mix but it seemed like maybe if he turned on the jets he could get a podium finish and land a Bronze medal.

What happened next nobody saw coming. I’m not quite sure who wrote this script but they have to take a bow. Hocker didn’t make his move in the final lap, not in the final turn, but the FINAL STRAIGHTAWAY! He had inside position and while Kerr and Ingebrigtsen were worried about each other, Cole Hocker fueled off the energy of the crowd and went supersonic. He broke his own personal record by 3 seconds! UNREAL! He made his move in the final 100 meters and edged out the favorites for a shocking GOLD that can only be deemed as a MAJOR STUMPSET!

This final stretch is a MUST WATCH! (Down below!)

They came to see the stars alright, they just didn’t know that his name would be Cole Hocker!
