⚾️ On this day in 1987, Roger Clemens officially won back-to-back Cy Young awards! A very rare occurrence in the MLB. The kicker is that he did it TWICE in two different decades!
The most recent pitcher to do this was Jacob deGrom in 18 and 19.

🇺🇸 Today, We Honor Veterans
It feels wrong to make today’s story about anything other than Veterans, so we’re going to keep this story short and sweet.
Military service and sports have always been connected through the years. Whether it’s honoring veterans during sporting events, military service members of the game, or even pro sports stars who spent a portion of their life in the military, there has always been some sort of connection.
So today, let’s take some time to think about all the veterans in our lives, those who protected our country so we can enjoy things like pro sports without having to think twice.
Here are some of the most famous professional athletes who spent time in the military:

Yesterday, In a Nutshell
🏈 Detroit Lions overcome 5 INTERCEPTIONS from Jared Goff to get SNF win over Houston Texans, 26-23. They scored 19 unanswered and won on a game-winner off the leg of Jake Bates as time expired! Good teams just find a way to win…even when they play bad. Another team in a similar spot, the Kansas City Chiefs. In what look destined to be their first loss of the season, the Chiefs blocked a Broncos 35-yard FG as time expired to secure their unbeaten streak! Good teams find a way to win!
🏀 Chet Holmgren out for at least 8-10 weeks with a hip injury after coming down awkwardly after contesting a shot. A big blow for the Thunder on their quest for the #1 seed in the West. They lost last night to the Golden State Warriors who are somehow 8-2! Steph Curry dropped 36 points!
🏈 More teams continue to get hot. The Bills moved to 8-2 with a 30-20 win over the Colts! They put up 30 despite Josh Allen not throwing a TD! The 49ers overcame 3 missed FGs from Jake Moody but still got the win over the Bucs in CMC’s return! The Vikings won without scoring a TD over the Jags, and the Cards ROLLLLLLLED over the Jets!
