Tyson v Paul...Finally
We got the 'BLOCKBUSTER' fight that we've been waiting months for and it was what you would expect...
Weekend! Opened up the ESPN app last night and it just crashed because of the sheer amount of action we have lined up for this weekend! We’ve got Tennessee Georgia in a major SEC showdown, the Duke Blue Devils, and the sizzling-hot Winnipeg Jets all in action today! Say what you want about that fight last night, man those guys milked the hell out of that thing and made a ridiculous amount of money! Unreal!
Today’s Trivia🧠
What is the franchise record for points in a game for the Sacramento Kings? |
(answer at the bottom of the Stump!)
On This Day…
⚽️ On this day in 2003, we saw the little boy from Rosario! It was Lionel Messi’s debut for FC Barcelona when he came on as a substitute late in the game.
Messi was 16 years old at the time! In the highest level league of fútbol in the world! Just unreal!
Today’s Stump Story…
🍊 Anthony to Anthony! The Newest Orangemen!
Yesterday, Syracuse got their latest commit. A four-atar guard by the name of Kiyan Anthony! Yup, son of Carmelo Anthony!
It’s crazy how we’ve been talking about sons these last couple of seasons of guys who we’ve been watching play for the last 15 years. Melo has been out for a bit but you know what I mean. Carmelo is arguably the greatest player to ever play for Syracuse, and now his son will try and follow in his footsteps in Upstate New York,
Kiyan is the 36th-ranked prospect in the class of 2025 and was down to Syracuse and USC. He also received offers from Florida, Ohio State, Rutgers, and a bunch of other schools, but after narrowing his choices to his top 2, he decided he wanted to be an Orangemen.
Despite only playing one year for Syracuse, Carmelo Anthony led them to a National Championship and won Final Four Most Outstanding Player! If Kiyan can even come close to what his father did, then it would be
a success. After a good team in the early 2010s, Syracuse has fallen off recently as one of the staple teams you see year in and year out.
Last year was Head Coach Adrian Autry’s first year at the helm and he went an impressive 20-12.
He hopes to improve upon that with Kiyan as well as five-star recruit Sadiq White!
Yesterday, In a Nutshell
🥊 Well the BLOCKBUSTER fight finally happened! And if you were just looking at the ages, it went how you would expect! Jake Paul defeated Mike Tyson in a unanimous decision! Mike was able to last the entire fight, but after the first three rounds, he just looked a little old out there. What a night for both of them though as they just absolutely got a BAG!
🏀 The first set of NBA Cup games is now behind us. Jalen Brunson’s clutch 3 with 6 seconds remaining helped the Knicks defeat the Nets, 124-122. Later in the evening, Anthony Davis had a season-high 40 points to help the Lakers defeat the Spurs, 120-115. The nightcap was a franchise record 60 points from De’Aaron Fox in a loss to the T’Wolves in OT!
🏀 The Cleveland Cavs become the 6th team in NBA history to start the season 14-0! This is unreal! They scored 49 points in just the first quarter last night! Things are clicking in Cleveland! D Mitch had a season-high 37, and Garland, Allen, Levert, and Niang all contributed with double figures to help them get a 144-126 win over the Chicago Bulls!
💯Top Performers:
🏀 De’Aaron Fox (SAC): 60 points, 7 assists, 3 rebounds
🏈 Robert Henry (UTSA): 168 rush yards, 57 rec yards, 2 TDs!
🏀 Sarah Strong (UCONN): 14 points, 13 rebounds, 5 blocks
🏀 Bam Adebayo (MIA): 30 points, 11 rebounds, 7 assists, 5 steals

🗣️ Quote OTD🗣️
“First learn stand. Then learn fly.” Mr. Miyagi Sometimes it’s tempting to try and skip steps instead of just going along with the process. If Mr. Miyagi says follow the steps, I’m following the steps! |
❗️Glue Guy OTD❗️
Scrabble Board Game Glue Whenever board games pop up this guy always just seems to be around. Just a bunch of letters on tiles turned into one of the most famous games of all time. If that’s not GLUE, I don’t know what is. |
