Superman Josh Allen
The Bills and Chiefs had an all-timer yesterday, but the cape from Josh Allen put them over the top.
As an unbiased newsletter, we are going to refrain from sharing that one-half of stump management reached octaves he didn’t think he could as Josh Allen ran for that TD yesterday! Yeah, we’re not gonna share that part! ANYWAY…WHAT A DAY! That was an unbelievable NFL Sunday! Hope you all had a great weekend! This week doesn’t stand a chance!
Today’s Trivia🧠
Not a trivia question... a poll!! Of the top teams in the NFL, who do you think has the best chance to win the Super Bowl? |

On This Day…
⚾️ On this day in 1966, Brooklyn / Los Angeles Dodger legend Sandy Koufax announced his retirement from the game of baseball due to arthritis in his left elbow.
Koufax is largely considered as one of the greatest to ever do it, if not the greatest of all time. Koufax threw no-hitters in his career, and that doesn’t include a perfect game in 1965.
Today’s Stump Story…
🏈 NFL Rewind: Yesterday’s Best
You know we had to do it. Our one word for yesterday’s NFL Sunday: WILD. Let’s get into it!
The Blowouts: I’m not sure the Jaguars knew there was a football game going to be played today. The Detroit Lions came out hot and never took their foot off of the pedal. 52 points, 7 touchdowns, 4 of which came from Jared Goff (2 to Amon-Ra St. Brown). A final score of 52-6 is something that no Jacksonville fan wanted to see. In the other NFL blowout, the Cleveland Browns made the New Orleans Saints look like world beaters, as the Saints scored on 71-yard and 75-yard touchdowns. Woof.
Down to the Final Minute: The Seattle Seahawks went home happy after Geno Smith scrambled into the endzone with about 10 seconds left in the ball game to defeat their division rival, the San Fran Niners. Another disappointing loss for the Niners puts them an even 5-5 on the season. The Steelers did not score a touchdown yesterday. They won 18-16. Talk about a classic AFC North division rivalry game. The Ravens long-time kicker Justin Tucker struggled, missing two field goals. Nailbiter!
Anthony Richardson (So back): After missing a few games for a host of different reasons that nobody really seems to be willing to share, Anthony Richardson was finally back under center for the Indianapolis Colts. Richardson threw for 272 yards and added another 32 on the ground. Not only that, but Richardson did not make the critical error that he has in games past. He led a game-winning touchdown drive that put the Colts up one over the Jets, good enough to escape with the win.
Game of the Week: The battle of one of the best rivalries in the NFL, the Bills and the Chiefs, certainly lived up to the billing yesterday. It felt like a playoff game in chilly Buffalo, and it sure looked like one too. These two teams just play at a different level than a lot of the other teams in the NFL. The game is faster, more intense, a true chess match. Back and forth the two went, answering punches with counter-punches, until the final whistle blew. An incredible touchdown run by Bills QB Josh Allen put the final nail in the Chiefs coffin, ending their bid for a perfect season. I can almost guarantee that these two will see each other again this year.
Quick Hitters
🏀 The WNBA Draft lottery took place yesterday, and the Dallas Wings won the rights to the first pick in the draft. The first selection is widely expected to be UConn star Paige Bueckers. The Wings have a star player already in place with Arike Ogunbowale, but adding Bueckers to that team would make it arguably the most feared one-two punch in the W. The Los Angeles Sparks will select second, followed by the Chicago Sky and Washington Mystics third and fourth, respectively.
🏀 CAVS TRACKER: The Cleveland Cavaliers tied the second best start in NBA history with their 128-114 victory over the Charlotte Hornets. The Cavs now sit at 15-0, the fourth team to reach that number. Interestingly enough, all three other teams to reach 15-0 have made it to the NBA Finals. The Cavs won yesterday without their All-NBA star Donovan Mitchell. His backup, Ty Jerome, matched his career high with 24 points in place of Mitchell. The Cavs get their biggest test of the young season when they head to Boston and take on the defending champions tomorrow night.
⚽️ National Women’s Soccer League finals are set! The Orlando Pride advanced to their first NWSL championship after yesterday’s 3-2 victory over the Kansas City Current. Marta, arguably the greatest women’s soccer player of all time, scored an iconic game-winning goal late in the second half to ice the game. The Pride will take on the Washington Spirit, who defeated New York / New Jersey Gotham to advance into the finals. The Spirit are led by American Trinity Rodman. The Pride have won four of their last five meetings. POPCORN READY!
💯Top Performers:
🏈 Bo Nix (DEN): 307 yards, 4 TDs, 0 INT, 1 Statement Win
🏈 Taysom Hill (NO): 138 rush yards, 3 TDs, 50 rec yards!
🏀 SGA (OKC): 36 points, 8 assists, 2 steals
🏈 Detroit Lions (NFL): 52 Points! Unreal!

Follow Me Uncle Kracker Can’t lie, I just really wanted to get everyone’s favorite Uncle up here. There’s no inspiring story behind this one, it’s just bars. |
🗣️ Quote OTD🗣️
“A gem cannot be polished without friction, nor a man perfected without trials.” Lucius Annaeus Seneca Spitting FACTS! Applies to women too, the use of man is loose here, folks. |
❗️Glue Guy OTD❗️
Holder Football I love glue guys who you don’t realize how important they are until you have a bad one. A bad holder just ruins a kicker, but a good holder may arguably be one of the most glue things on a football team. Team>everything, guy might get his hand punted. |
