What Caught Our Eye👀

STUMP STORY OF THE DAY✍️

DANIEL ‘Don’t Touch My Guys’ JONES!

We got a brouhaha in Giants-Lions joint practice! Dan Jones isn’t standing for any BS!

I’ll tell you what if you have Dan Campbell and Brian Daboll as the Head Ball Coaches at a joint practice in August. It might as well be the goddamn Super Bowl because the guys out there will be going 110% no doubt!

Not only were there a couple guys who had to be evaluated for injuries throughout the practice (including Lions first-round CB Terrion Arnold), but there were MULTIPLE SCRUMS!

One of these BROUHAHAS involved Giants QB Daniel Jones. Just one play after he hit his throwing hand on a Lions players helmet and Daboll yelled at the Lions D to back off, Giants center Greg Van Roten was at the bottom of a pile.

One guess as to who got in there to back up his center, and his nickname rhymes with Manny Mimes. Here’s a video attached (down below) of the pile. It may not look like much but for a QB who is still trying to earn the respect of his team, fanbase, and the entire state of New York, it goes a long way.

Here’s a quote from Edge Rusher Brian Burns:

“Oh, lord. Daniel got jiggy with it…Daniel, he’s a competitor, man. He’s a fighter. So I don’t expect anything less from him.”

I’m not a Giants fan but man I’m rooting for him. He’s got juice, he’s got heart, and he’ll back up his guys! Good stuff Danny!

TRIVIA ANSWER

C. St. Louis, Missouri: The 1904 Summer Olympics were the first time the games were held outside of Europe. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) originally considered Philadelphia and New York, but awarded the games to Chicago before moving them to St. Louis to be part of the Louisiana Purchase Exposition. However, the games were poorly attended and some say it was one of the worst-run Olympics in history.
