Good Morning, Stumpers!
Last year the Chicago White Sox set an all-time MLB loss record with 121. At the pace they are at right now, the Colorado Rockies would lose 137 games, putting last year’s White Sox record to absolute shame! My god! Anyways Scottie won again yesterday…so that happened. Let’s dive into it all!

The Seattle Mariners had the 1st Overall pick in the MLB Draft. With this pick, they selected “The Kid” Ken Griffey Jr.!
Junior went on to become one of the greatest Mariners of all time ending his career with 630 HRs and 1836 RBIs. Not too shabby!

⚾️ The Bad News Bears Rockies
The White Sox were bad last year. Very bad. Somehow the Colorado Rockies have made them look good! The Rockies are now the fastest team to reach 50 losses in the modern era (from 1901)!
It’s been rough sledding for the Colorado Rockies this year. They are 9-50 this year, and that includes a whole lot of streaks. After their 5-3 loss to the Mets yesterday, they had lost 8 straight and then also 13 of their last 14. Just an overall tough scene.
Just to put this in perspective, the Chicago White Sox were breaking all-time losing records last year as well. When they had their 50th loss last year, they already had recorded 17 wins…and that was bad! 9-50 is breaking the boundaries of testing fandoms.
Not gonna pile up any more on these guys. We’re here to root for these types of guys. The White Sox ended last year with 121 losses, the most ever. The Rockies are currently on pace to demolish that record and end 25-137.
Here’s to them having a helluva run the rest of the way. We are officially on record watch!

⛳️ Scottie’s 3rd Win in 4 Starts
Scottie Scheffler had never lost a tournament in which he was the 54-hole leader. He entered yesterday with the lead, and he did what he always does. He closed!
Scottie successfully was able to defend his win last year at the Memorial Tournament with a strong four-round performance this week. The stats are just silly. This is his 3rd win in four starts, and he now has more wins that the Colorado Rockies in the last 30 days. I know we said we wouldn’t bag on the Rockies anymore, but that stat is insanity. He played 31 straight holes of bogey free golf, and found himself in control for all of Sunday. Ben Griffin stayed close, but he couldn’t mount the charge he was hoping for! Scottie. Is. Inevitable.

Just because Caitlin Clark is out of commission for a little bit doesn’t mean there aren’t WNBA headlines! Yesterday the reigning champs did a number on CT’s finest!
This one got ugly, and it got ugly in a hurry. The Sun won the fourth quarter last night by 6 points and they still lost the game by an almost record 48 points! This was the second-largest win in WNBA history! The Liberty hit 19 threes and got contributions from everybody in the win. Nobody score more than 18, but there were 11 different gals who got in the scoring column. The largest margin ever for those wondering was accomplished in 2017 when the Lynx beat the Fever by 59 points! Woof!
