Let’s take a trip back to the year 1946, in the world of baseball! It was on this day when Major Leaguer TED WILLIAMS was offered $500,000 to play in the Mexican Baseball League.

500k?! In that economy are you kidding me! Even that insane of a number couldn’t lure Williams away from the Big Leagues. He refused the offer to head south! I’d like to think I have that resolve, but if somebody offered me 500k…I’d play ball on Neptune!

🔵 🏀 Jordan’s “Shot”! What Do You Notice?

Just a quick one for you to ponder on this fine Sunday morning…

So just yesterday it came across my desk again about the shot Jordan hit as a freshman at UNC to help clinch them the National Championship. It’s the shot they showed in the movie AIR for a couple of scenes and a shot maybe you have seen around in places as well.

Thanks. So what’s the craziest thing you see in this video?

Is it just me or is it fascinating that in 1982, the 3-point line wasn’t even a thing in college basketball yet. You think about the 3 and you feel like it’s been around forever, but the guy who many say is the GOAT played college ball without a three!

That whole timeline is just something I didn’t see coming. The NCAA did end up implementing the line in 1986 after the NBA already had done it in 1980. Anyway just a little tidbit for ya!

🟣 🟢 Lakers Celtics Latest Installment!

For at least a half, this matchup just had NBA Finals Preview written all over it. Luka and LeBron vs The Boston Celtics is must-watch TV. Luka was a little hobbled all game ans LeBron left the game with a few minutes to go with an injury as well. The Celtics were just smooth sailors the entire night. Tatum had 40 and Jaylen Brown had 31. This team may have the third best record in the NBA, but man they are good. Here are the highlights to this matchup.

🏀 🔴 St. John’s! Magic!

Maybe it’s a cardinal sin to say something good about this St. John’s team as a UConn fan. But man, there is some serious voodoo working their way right now. A ghost caused an unreal turnover for Marquette in OT leading to a Johnnies BUZZER BEATER! With some teams at the top picking up some losses, forget a three seed, this St. John’s team could potentially be looking at a 2, possibly even a one-seed if the chips fall their way. ⛳️ Collin Morikawa Leads Heading into Sunday!

It was an eventful Day 3 at the Arnold Palmer invitational yesterday with the wind finally dying down and a change to see some good scores. Collin had a great day (-5) to bring him in the solo lead at -10. Russell Henley is on his heels at -9 and Corey Conners as well at -8. It was a tough day at the office for former leader Shane Lowry who went +4 and now sits at -4. Still anyone’s game today! A look at the leaderboard after 3 rounds!

🏀 DOWN GOES AUBURN! AGAIN!

Another must-see BUZZER BEATER in college basketball! Man, it’s been a rollercoaster couple of games for #1 Auburn. Again here they fell on the short end of the stick in OT against #7 Alabama. The Tide are one of the best teams in the country, so there’s no shame in this loss, but the fashion in which it happened was gut-wrenching. Something you just have to see with your own two eyes!
