⚾️ Two Workhorses are Coming Back!

Jacob deGrom and Max Scherzer, rips cigarette, I haven’t heard those names in years. Well, they’re coming back! Both deGrom and Scherzer are finally healthy again and are joining the Texas Rangers after both had an extended absence due to injuries.

DeGrom, 36, and Scherzer, 40, are both on some pretty significant deals with the Rangers. The two have 5-Cy Youngs between each other but have fought injuries during their time in Texas. deGrom hasn’t played since April 2023, and Scherzer has started eight games this season.

Let’s see if the boys can make a run with their newfound HURLERS!

🏈 Betters Want Their Money Back, So They Reach Out To The QB

This past weekend, Auburn QB Payton Thorne was part of the upset loss by the Tigers against the California Golden Bears, so people decided to reach out.

They reached out to him on Venmo. Asking for money. To cover the bets they lost. I mean, I can’t lie, this is funny. Thorne agreed, “It’s funny. When they lose money, they want their money back. But when they win money on a parlay, no one’s ever sent me any of the money.”

College football fans are some of the more interesting people on the planet, they do not care, GIVE ME MY MONEY! You decided to bet, not the QB. C’mon man, he ain’t got your money!

I’m sorry, if it’s ANYWHERE but Seattle, it’s the WRONG decision. It has to be, it can’t be anywhere else. For many NBA historians, this is the only right answer.

I mean, c’mon, the Super Sonics just hit different. They look so clean in the green and yellow jerseys. Seattle is a GREAT sports town, the Seahawks and Mariners are BELOVED, and you still find Sonics jerseys all over town.

A fresh new rebrand and they can play in one of the coolest and new-tech stadiums in the country in Climate Pledge Arena, it just makes too much sense. Basketball history, name recognition, sports city, it checks off all the boxes.

⚽️ Pochettino Officially INKED as USMNT Head Coach Through 2026 World Cup

Well, that was a mouthful. To be perfectly honest with you I thought that this had been a done deal for weeks now. Apparently, Mr. Mauricio Pochettino had to settle some stuff with Chelsea before officially being able to accept the role.

The US Soccer team needed a change of pace. Hopefully, a guy whose full name just sounds so ‘Soccer’ will be the one to help get the boys over the hump. In the 2022 World Cup, the US advanced to the knockout stage which was fun but a very disappointing COPA America just a couple of months ago has left a bad taste for fans.

Mauricio Pochettino. It has a nice ring to it. I find myself doing the hand thing when I say his name. You know, the Italian hand thing.

🏈 Baker Still Looking Like a Leader

This quick post is worth a watch. I can’t tell if Baker has come a long way from where he was when he first entered the league or if he was always just misunderstood. I think the right answer is a little bit of both.

He came into the league with a lot of people already talking shit about him for his antics in college. And then when he wasn’t playing like an all-pro it was easy to just throw him to the side. His story right now I think is one of the best out of all 32 QBs in the league. He had the seemingly crazy job of replacing Tom Brady and now his team is winning and winning big.

I don’t know much but I know I’m rooting for Baker to keep this thing going!
