The first-ever Formula 1 World Championship race was run in Silverstone, England, and won by Guiseppe ‘Nino’ Farina of Italy in an Alfa Romeo.
The first-ever Formula 1 race took place in 1946, but there wasn’t a World Championship until this day in 1950!
