ON THIS DAY 🗓

On this day in 1950…
The first-ever Formula 1 World Championship race was run in Silverstone, England, and won by Guiseppe ‘Nino’ Farina of Italy in an Alfa Romeo.
The first-ever Formula 1 race took place in 1946, but there wasn’t a World Championship until this day in 1950!

STUMP STORY OF THE DAY✍

Blades Brown. 16-years-old. His Game is Better than His Name…And That’s Saying Something ⛳
Just two weeks ago we were talking about 15-year-old golf sensation Miles Russell, and the history he made at a Korn Ferry Tour event.
Today we are talking about Nashville, Tennessee’s hometown hero Blades Brown. First off if you don’t know by now I’ll say it again, we love a good name. Blades? Are you kidding me? That could be the entire Stump Story for today! It probably would be the entire story if Blades didn’t just have a phenomenal four days at the Myrtle Beach Classic.
He started the week shooting one over par on Thursday and then went sicko mode on Friday posting four under par to be at a net -3 and being one stroke ahead of the cut line. Many golfers, no matter their age, get a little more relaxed and laid back after making the cut. Not Blades. He continued playing great golf and ended tied for 26th at -10! Wow.
He more than held his own in a PGA tour event and showed that could compete on tour.
What we have been seeing recently with young golfers has been unprecedented. Last month we had Miles Russell on the Korn Ferry Tour. Last week we had 16-year-old Kris Kim make the cut at The CJ Cup Byron Nelson (PGA Tour event). After a long time without too much of news of youngsters making history at the professional level, we’ve had three of them do it in 6 weeks.
The pattern with these three seems to be their maturity both on and off the golf course. When watching highlights of their play you can see in just the way they handle themselves through the ups and the downs they seem like they have played dozens of tour events already.
It seems like just a matter of time until we see one of these future PGA pros have a special Sunday and make a run at winning an event, and boy what a day that would be.
🎙SONG OF THE DAY
Stargazing - Myles Smith

This track has been ALL over social media for the last few months, trending everywhere. But is it as good as the marketing was? You tell me! (The album cover is blurry, not your screen)

Glue Guy of the Day
Door Stopper

Talk about a guy who knows his role. He could’ve gotten into the mini ramp industry. He could’ve also tried his luck at being an iPhone stand for when you’re watching a YouTube video while eating a meal on your dining room table. But no, they said he was meant to stop doors and the Door Stopper said that’s fine by me. Gotta love it!
