STUMP STORY OF THE DAY✍️ 

Steve Gleason: Arthur Ashe Courage Award Winner

From NFL safety to battling a very public fight with ALS, Steve Gleason is a warrior.

I’m not going to write a whole lot about this, I am going to EMPLORE you to take the next 6 minutes and 37 seconds to watch this video.

Gleason spent 8 years (2000-2008) playing for the New Orleans Saints, but quickly after his career ended, he started a different fight. In 2011, Gleason was diagnosed with ALS.

Since his diagnosis, he has dedicated his life to his Nonprofit, Team Gleason. He provides those battling with ALS with the support and technology they need to try and make their fight a little more even and sustainable.

Gleason is an inspiration, taking what some call a death sentence of a diagnosis, and finding the positive. He’s gives families hope, he gives those diagnosed a piece of their life back, a sense of the smallest amount of normalcy. Most importantly to me, he provides incredible perspective.
