What is going on in the NBA...
Good Morning, Stumpers!
This no joke may have the most absurd two day stretch of basketball maybe EVER! We had 4 games and four road teams all winning in massive massive STUMPSET fashion! They weren’t quiet endings either…they were loud! Real loud! What a time to watch some hoops. That being said, the favorites are the favorites! Lot of ball left! Let’s get down to the action!

👬 Twins Win It for the Dodgers

There’s been a few brothers who have left their legacies over the existence of Major League Baseball, but today, was a pretty cool day in the history of the Dodgers.
On this day in 1960, Larry & Norm Sherry became baseball’s 10th brother battery, with Larry doing the pitching and Norm behind the plate. Larry pitched his heart out, putting his team in position to win the ballgame. Thanks to his brother, who hit a walk-off home run in the 11th inning, Larry won the ballgame in the stat sheet. Dodgers win on the back of the Sherry’s!

Champions League
🤯 Madness in Milan

The soccer world was treated to an absolute master class yesterday in the UEFA Champions League Semi-Finals second leg between Barcelona and Inter.
Despite their being an outcome where one team wins and one goes home, it really feels like we’re all winners for getting treated to what some are calling a top-5 soccer match of all time. Two titans of Europe went into the match tied 3-3 in the aggregate after last weeks clash in Barcelona, but it would all come down to one last match in Milan to see how would earn the right to play in the Champions League finals in Munich.
Inter raced to an early two-goal lead, which they took to halftime, only for Barcelona to storm back in the second half by taking ripping off three goals and taking their first lead of the two matches. With their back against the wall, Inter scored an injury-time equalizer to tie the match courtesy of Francesco Acerbi. This brought the match into overtime, solidifying it as one of the craziest back and forth games in recent Champions league history.
A masterful extra time goal by Davide Frattesi took the roof (there’s no roof) off of San Siro Stadium, and despite there being a good portion of extra time remaining, the party was on in Milan. When Frattesi lit the crowd on fire, the announcers went berserk, but I don’t know how they still had adjectives left to describe the game. It was an absolutely silly game of soccer. Frattesi climbed a big yellow fence to yell at the home fans with pure joy, as he slapped the teams crest on his chest.
A beautiful moment. For a short moment of time, it looked like a lethargic second half performance was going to lead to yet another disappointment for the home crowd, but not this time, not this team.
When Inter heads to Munich later this month for the final, they will face either Paris Saint-Germain or Arsenal, who play tomorrow. PSG won the first leg 1-0 in London, and will need to protect their home turf to meet the Italian club in the finals.

🏀 Pacers Pull Off Another STUNNER!
Somebody tell me right now what the hell is going on in the NBA. This one was unthinkable.
Just 24 hours after a 20 point comeback within the last quarter and a half (Knicks), the Pacers just pulled off a stunner themselves. Despite the Cavs being down 3 of their stars, they were in the lead all night…until the very end!
Since the 1997-98 NBA season, NBA teams are 3-1640 went trailing by 7 or more points with one minute to in the 4th Q/OT. The Pacers have now accounted for two of those wins in the last week and a half! Unreal. We’ll end that there. Pacers up 2-0, lot of ball left!
🏀 Warriors def. Timberwolves Without Curry!
Steph Curry scored 13 points in the blink of an eye and then was downgraded to out with a hamstring injury. Surely the Warriors crumbled and lost a tough game in Minnesota?
Nope. Absolutely not. This was one of the wilder low scoring games that have been seen in recent memory. The Timberwolves COULD NOT BUY a bucket in the first half. The Warriors hit enough shots to take a 44-31 lead into the half. But then surely the T’Wolves vut the lead in the third. Nope. The lead ballooned up to TWENTY! It wasn’t until late i nthe fourth when the Wolves finally made their run and brought it down to 8, but it was the unconscious Buddy Hield who hit multiple daggers late to ice Game 1 for the Warriors! GSW up 1-0!
