Good Morning, Stumpers!
We head into the weekend after a jam-packed Friday of action. After leading for much of the game, the Pacers could not close the door on OKC, and the series is now tied at two games a piece! At the U.S. Open, we only have THREE GUYS under par as we head into the weekend. A lot to look forward to this weekend!

On This Day
🔴 The Pistons Go BACK-TO-BACK
The Pistons were once Defending Champs facing off against the Portland Trailblazers in the NBA Finals. They won a pivotal Game 5…and they became BACK-TO-BACK Champions.
On this day in 1990, the Detroit Pistons won Game 5 of the Finals 92-90, and won the NBA Finals. Isaiah Thomas was named Finals MVP. Seems like Pistons were really on to something. I wonder if they went on to run the East during the 90s….

Yesterday’s Trivia Answer: C. Tennessee! It was the Vols who bested Texas A&M in 3 games. The deciding Game 3 ended 6-5.

If you’ve been watching this series, which has been an unbelievable series so far, you’ve seen a lot. Here’s something to chew on for a sec here. The Thunder just tied the series two games a piece, and in both wins Alex Caruso has played lights out.
Is that the only thing that has happened in those two games? No. But are we going to roll with it? We absolutely are. He is doing things on both sides of the ball that are just so important for this Thunder team. Last year, the Thunder were some sort of X-Factor away from going all the way.
They now have their X-Factor, and they are two home wins away from winning the NBA Finals!
The Thunder just tied the series, in part due to ALEX CARUSO. GLUE.

The Stump Short Story: We now move on to the weekend at Oakmont and this course has been exactly as advertised after 36 holes. Sam Burns is the leader at -3. Only three find themselves under par, and some of the worlds best just missed the cut. 36 holes down, 36 to go.
