How Bout Them Bengals

Joe "Cool" Burrow and his guy Ja'Marr Chase shine in Dallas

If being a Dallas Cowboys fan has been bad this year, last night only made it worse. An absolutely brutal ending in Big D for the Cowboys, which we detail in our story. Plus, the NCAA crowned a champ in women’s soccer yesterday, the Heisman finalists were announced, and the Knicks were the only show in town last night in the NBA. Let’s. Get. Stumpin.

These cannabis gummies keep selling out in 2024

If you've ever struggled to enjoy cannabis due to the harshness of smoking or vaping, you're not alone. That’s why these new cannabis gummies caught our eye.

Mood is an online dispensary that has invented a “joint within a gummy” that’s extremely potent yet federally-legal. Their gummies are formulated to tap into the human body’s endocannabinoid system.

Although this system was discovered in the 1990’s, farmers and scientists at Mood were among the first to figure out how to tap into it with cannabis gummies. Just 1 of their rapid onset THC gummies can get you feeling right within 5 minutes!

Today’s Stump Story…

🏈 Primetime in Dallas

A matchup that would’ve had the whole league salivating earlier in the year, but two teams with losing records took the field last night.

The Bengals and the Cowboys have both had, let’s say, underwhelming seasons. Burrow and the Bengals have been haunted by poor offensive line play and even poorer defense. The Cowboys have just been absolutely decimated by injuries, including their starting QB Dak Prescott. The Bengals entered the game at 4-8, while the Cowboys were not much better, sitting at 5-7.

Despite the poor records, it was a very entertaining game in Dallas. It was back and forth all night long. The Bengals jumped out to a 17-10 lead heading into the half, thanks to a late first-half FG from Cade York. York, whose girlfriend is a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader, was a feature of the ESPN broadcast, for better or worse.

Coming out of the 2-minute warning in the fourth quarter, the Cowboys were set to get the ball back as the Bengals were punting. But oh my god, an absolutely terrible mistake by the Cowboys gave the Bengals the ball back. The Cowboys actually blocked the punt, but it went past the line of scrimmage. A Cowboy tried to pick up the ball and run but couldn’t secure it and the Bengals recovered. Bengals ball.

No more than 3 plays later, Joe Burrow hit Ja’Marr Chase on a 40-yard catch and run to take a 27-20 lead. Wow. What an absolutely brutal sequence for the Dallas Cowboys and a pure roller coaster of emotions in AT&T Stadium.

The Cowboys had three timeouts and a minute to go, down 7. If you haven’t picked up on the tone of this article yet, the Cowboys didn’t get it done. Bengals 27, Cowboys 20. Final.

⚽️ The University of North Carolina won their 22nd NCAA women’s soccer title yesterday. Olivia Thomas scored on a free kick in the 62nd minute to beat Wake Forest, 1-0.

🏀 In the only NBA game of the night, the New York Knicks survive a scare in Toronto. The Knicks were coming off probably their worst loss of the year, a 120-111 home defeat at the hands of the Detroit Pistons. It took a late Karl Anthony Towns three to ice the game, giving the Knicks a 113-108 victory over the struggling Raptors.

🏈 Panther rookie RB Jonathon Brooks retore his ACL in his right knee in Sunday’s game. Brooks, the Panthers second-round pick out of Texas this past draft, tore the same ACL in college about 13 months ago. He made his season debut on Nov. 24th. Prayers out to Jonathon Brooks!

Talk about just a great tune that gets forgotten about, but I want us all to remember it today.

🗣️ Quote OTD🗣️

“For love of the game.”

Billy Chapel

A great quote from an even better movie, Kevin Costner as Billy Chapel pitching his arm out “for love of the game”. A beauty.

Walking Stick

But the one that’s a real stick

Sure, you could argue a cane is a glue guy too, but I really want is the stick you pick up on the hike that you walk with for a while. Now that thing is so glue.

Trivia Answer:

B. Jayden Daniels, LSU. In second place was Michael Penix Jr, with Bo Nix coming in third in the voting. If you guessed Caleb Williams, remember that Williams won the award in 2022, no 2023.
