There’s a saying, “What happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object?”. We could use that to describe tonight’s showdown between the Bills and the Ravens. Instead, we already got treated to one of those last night with the Commanders and the Lions! 🏈 Expectations vs Nothing to Lose! The Latest Case!

What. A Game. Last night we got the treat of the Commanders against the Lions. What we saw was just unbelievable!

Wow. What just happened?! For those of you who tuned into last night’s Divisional Round matchup between the #1 Seeded Lions and #6 Seeded Commanders, you got to see a treat. The entire game I was almost waiting for the Commanders to slip up and make that mistake, or fail on an extremely risky fourth-down conversation, and for the Lions to take the lead and never look back. But I was waiting for a while!

This Commanders team, and Jayden Daniels, are both unbelievable. Yesterday he became the 6th Rookie QB to ever take his team to a Conference Championship game. The first 5 have all lost in that round. There’s a sense of poise when it comes to Daniels that you don’t see when it comes to a rookie. On top of that there’s a likability factor with this Washington team! Dan Quinn, Zach Ertz, Bobby Wagner. A bunch of veteran guys who have come together and are being led by their young superstar who doesn’t know any better.

This was the first year that the Detroit Lions had expectations. They were one of the top two Super Bowl favorites for almost the entirety of the regular season. They kept getting more and more players added to their IR, but kept battling regardless. Yesterday it seemed to catch up to them. They couldn’t stop the Commanders at all.

I feel for Detroit fans, it seemed like they had become a lot of people’s second-favorite team this year. The story of Goff and Dan Campbell bringing a trophy to the city of Detroit would have been unbelievable. A story that has become equally amazing is what is going on in Washington. Daniels and Co. are now one win away from the Super Bowl, and what’s to say they can’t get there?

They will now face off against either the Rams or the Eagles with a shot at the Super Bowl on the line!

This was a true case of a Magical Run vs A Team of Destiny, and in this case, it was Magic that came out on top!

Quick Hitters

🏈 The first game of the Divisional Round was the Houston Texans against the Kansas City Chiefs! I mean, yes, the Chiefs are the best team in the world, and they’ve got all the hardware to back it up, but man, are they unlikeable! The flops, the celebrations, the help they have from the refs, just a whole lot going on over there in KC. They got the win, and the Texans fought hard but left 7 points on the table just off of missed kicks alone, and you just can’t do that against the Chiefs! Chiefs win, 24-13! They advance to their 7th AFC Championship in the Mahomes-Reid era!

🎾 World No. 3 and American wonder girl Coco Gauff was able to rally in her match against Belinda Bencic in the third round of the Australian Open. The 20-year-old dropped the first set 5-7, but then was able to ferociously rally back and win back-to-back sets, 6-2, 6-1 to take the match and advance to the Quarterfinals! It will be fun to see if Coco can close in on some more hardware!

🍿 Buckle up for 2 great games today! We’ve got the Rams facing the Eagles following the Ravens heading to Buffalo to face off against the Bills! We got one treat of a game yesterday, here’s hoping we get two more!
