Oh, and we’ve got 12 hours straight of College Football today! What a day!

🚨 Here’s yesterday's Nighttime Recap!

Stump Story of the Day

🏈 77 points! In a Football Game! Have a day Indiana!

What a scene in Bloomington last night. Memorial Stadium was the home to an absolute massacre! The Indiana Hoosiers hosted the Western Illinois Leathernecks in what got ugly quickly.

The FCS Leathernecks came into the game with a 25-game losing streak and unfortunately, that did not come to an end. The final score was 77-3! That’s 11 TOUCHDOWNS! Sheesh!

Indiana broke a school record of 76 points that was set in 1901! A 123-year record was broken last night. They scored on each of their first six possessions and led 42-3 going into the half. QB Kurtis Rourke looked good while he was in there with 3 total TDs.

The Leathernecks on the other tacked on another one to the longest losing streak in D1 right now, which is now 26.

Indiana’s scoring may be the big takeaway coming out of this game, but can’t I stop saying the team name, “Leathernecks”? 26 straight losses you say? Hmm, that’s a team we could get behind here at the STUMP!

🏈 Eagles-Packers REACTION! Giants Fans Look Away!

What a game in Brazil! Seemed a little slow and sluggish early, but once the second quarter kicked off, the points FLOODED in!

The Eagles defeated the Packers, 34-29, behind a SAQUON TRIFECTA of TD’s, here are 3 takeaways from the game.

  • The Eagles struck GOLD with Saquon Barkley! It’s no shocked that Saquon is an elite RB in this league, but did anybody see a 3-TD game coming from him?! Two in the trenches, and 1 as a pass catcher, he can do it all and he brings a different dynamic to this Eagles offense.

  • With just 5 seconds to go in the game, Jordan Love went down with an apparent injury, it did not look good early. Hoping for the best for Love but today it seems like we will find out the severity of the injury.

  • Despite getting a win and putting a ton of points on the board, the Eagles are weird! They had flashed of great moments but then there were other play calls, Hurts decision, and just moments overall that were UGLYY! We’ll see how they look going forward.

🏈 Pittsburgh QB Drama: Episode 12

So the Steelers named their starter how can there possibly be any more updates?? Hold up, what’s this??? A CALF STRAIN?!?! The Steelers have reported that R Wil is questionable on Sunday with a calf strain, meaning the Justin Fields could need to suit up!

Sunday is a 3 TV minimum day! If not take out a laptop, a tablet, and some old phone! We’ve got a whole lot of football, but we also have the Men’s US Open Final! Taylor Fritz advances in an EPIC 5-set showdown against (20) Frances Tiafoe. Tiafoe looked to be in control early, but through grit and determination, Fritz won the last two sets to get to his first-ever Grand Slam final!

He is the first American to make the final at the US Open since 2006 (trivia spoiler)!

Waiting for him will be World No. 1 Jannik Sinner. Sinner has coasted his way to the Finals. Yesterday he defeated (25) Jack Draper in straight sets and had this gem (LINK) of a rally!
