THE DAILY STUMPED🔮

ON THIS DAY 🗓️

Jackie Robinson

On this day in 1947…

Jackie Robinson became the first African-American player to play in US Major League Baseball. The rest is history!

Talk about being a trailblazer, he was the first during a time when he was not wanted at all, but he did it anyway. About as legendary as it gets. Thanks for everything 42!

STUMP STORY OF THE DAY✍️

Masters Day 4, Anything Can Happen on a Sunday at Augusta

54 holes are in the books in this year’s Masters tournament and it seems like we are in for a treat to end it off today! Many years we have had somebody with a commanding lead or just two golfers neck and neck for the lead going into Day 4, but no this year.

Here’s where the leaderboard stands before today’s action:

  1. Scottie Scheffler (-7)

  2. Collin Morikawa (-6)

  3. Max Homa (-5)

  4. Ludvig Aberg (-4)

  5. Bryson DeChambeau (-3)

  6. Xander Schauffele (-2)

  7. Cam Davis (-2)

  8. Nicolai Hojgaard (-2)

It’s no surprise that Scottie is at the top of the leaderboard, he is the World No. 1 has been playing phenomenal golf for quite some time now. If he can maintain his lead, he will win his second jacket in three years.

Behind him we have Collin Morikawa and Max Homa, both looking to win their first green jacket. Both great personalities in the world of golf, it would be great to see either of them win, it’s no easy task to chase down Scheffler but they’ll give it their best shot.

Behind them we have Ludvig Aberg, the 24 year PGA Pro who turned pro in June of last year. Despite being so young, Aberg is off to a great 2024 campaign with 3 top-10 finishes as well as a runner-up finish at Pebble Beach.

Maybe we end up seeing one of the better Day 4 chase-downs in Masters history with somebody not even mentioned yet.

All this being said, it is still anybody’s tournament! The odds on favorite both coming into the tournament as well as after 54 holes has been Scottie Scheffler, but anything can happen on Sunday at Augusta, no matter what we are in for a great finish. Get in front of the TV, get ready for some Jim Nantz-isms, and enjoy!

🎙️SONG OF THE DAY

Georgia On My Mind - Ray Charles

I can’t. I just can’t. I’m going to let if flow. If you don’t think you know this song, think again. This song is in a zillion movies. Wait for the chorus, it’s going to bring back memories.
