What. A. Sunday Funday. We had a National Championship W for the UConn Huskies…shoutout. We had Brian Harman take home the Valero Texas Open. We had OVI break the NHL all-time Goals record. Am I missing anything? Oh yeah and today we’ve got the National Championship on the mens side! What a time to have a time! Let’s STUMP!

⛳️ Masters Week Continues! Jack Nicklaus!

It was on this day in 1963 that the winner of the 27th Masters Tournament was crowned.

Who else back Jack Nicklaus, one of the greatest of all time. He finished with a 3-foot par putt to win by one stroke over Tony Lema. This was the first of SIX green jackets for Nicklaus! Just unreal stuff! Just a few days away form the Masters, I’m fired up!

💍 Redemption for Paige and the Huskies

The stage was set. It was one game to solidify a legacy. Paige and the Huskies came, and they conquered!

A whole movie could be made on this story. UConn Women’s Basketball i sno doubt the most prolific D1 Basketball team across the last three decades. Ever since Head Coach Geno Auriemma took over, they have been unbelievable. All of the greats at UConn have won titles, maybe even multiple.

Rebecca Lobo, Sue Bird, Diana Tarausi, Maya Moore, Brianna Stewart, the list goes on.

Enter Paige Bueckers. Perhaps one of the greatest Huskies of all time, she still did not have a National Title. In 2022 when they made it, they met the new juggernaut of the sport, South Carolina. It was a depleted UConn team but they still made it, and they got run out of the gym. It was a tough day for all of Husky Nation.

Yesterday, she played in her last ever collegiate game, and it was only fitting that the team in her way…was South Carolina.

The Huskies did exactly what they have done all Tournament, they dominated. The first half was close, but the Huskies defeated South Carolina, 82-59.

The big three were phenomenal, Paige (17) Azzi Fudd (24), and Sarah Strong (24 and 17). Freshman Sarah Strong was absolutely incredible all year, and she capped it off with a historic championship game. Her 24 points gave her the most points in the Tournament by a freshman in tournament history! Unreal!

If you’ve followed this journey for the last few years, the embrace between Paige Bueckers and Geno to end the game was about as goosebumps as it gets! Just great stuff.

🏒 OVI Breaks the Record!

The record for Most Goals in NHL history has now been broken. There is officially a new sheriff in town.

Yesterday at around 1PM you may have gotten an ESPN alert from the world of Hockey. Alex Ovechkin netted his 895th career goal and surpassed Wayne Gretzky for most goals all-time in NHL History. It was a power play goal against the Islanders, and the boys celebrated accordingly! Check out the record-breaking goal here!

⛳️ Harmon Wins The Valero Texas Open

It was a tough course, tough conditions, not too many low scores, but despite it all it was Brian Harmon who came out on top in the Valero Texas Open. Despite posting a final round +3, Harman was able to old off Andrew Novak to secure his first win since 2023. This was a bit of a get-ready Tournament as we look forward to Masters week at Augusta, but despite this it was great to see Harman get another win on TOUR. Despite some late bogeys, it was the back nine birdies as well that ended up being the difference. And now we move on to the Masters!
