5 Points Per Game to the NBA! Can You Guess the Mystery Player?

The first in our mystery player series, can you guess who it is?

I’m going to give you stats and then you give me an opinion.

A college basketball player last year averaged 5 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 assists. He played in 25 of his team’s games and averaged 19 minutes a game. No stellar numbers from the field, he shot 36% from the field overall and 27% from 3.

Now with all that being said, why are the Dallas Mavericks looking at this guy and saying that they most likely won’t even get the chance to draft him with the 58th overall pick in the draft?

Some of you I’m sure have already been able to guess this mystery player. 

First name Bronny, last name James. Son of NBA King, LeBron James. 

On the surface, you hear LeBron James’ son and you think, ‘Man that has to be awesome your dad is literally the greatest basketball player on the planet!’ But if you think about it for a little bit longer, maybe it isn’t all sunshine and rainbows. 

When it comes to this father-and-son relationship I can’t help but think of the last installment of the Rocky Balboa original saga, when Rocky’s son complains to his dad saying it’s tough to be his son. “People see me, but they think of you!!” It’s similar here. Whenever you see or hear anything about Bronny it seems to be instantaneous to think of his father.

It’s an unfair situation but that’s the world we live in.

Bronny is going to get drafted. And whether it’s fair or not it’s going to be more because of his dad than because of him. But man I want him to silence all the doubters. He’s going to have more cameras on him as a 5 ppg scorer than maybe anybody ever, but he’s got some goat blood running in his veins. 

If anybody can do it, it’s him. It’s almost your time Bronny, don’t listen to anybody, head down and work, LET’S GO!
