ON THIS DAY 🗓️
On this day in 1962 and 1990…
Apparently, it’s the Day of the Intentional Walk in the MLB! In 1962, Roger Maris recorded 4 intentional walks in a nine inning game. In 1990, Andre Dawson recorded 5 intentional walks in one game, an MLB record.
These guys must have been on some real hot streaks entering this day, cause pitchers were not messing around and giving them anything at all to hit. Legends striking fear in their opponents.
