All of you sports fans will be seeing Anthony Kim all over your feed for the next 48 hours, and hopefully the rest of this golf season as well! Wanted to get this to you early this morning. This is truly one of the greatest comebacks you’ll ever see! ⛳

Now at 40, Anthony Kim has been through the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. The journey that had an exclamation point placed on it late last night was truly something that will be written about for eternity.

In his early 20s, with three PGA Tour tournament wins and a World Ranking of #6, Kim was poised for an illustrious career.

In 2012, when it seemed like he had much more to give, Kim ruptured his Achilles. An injury that usually could have had a return in a year. Kim fell off the face of the earth for 12 years.

Although he began to struggle on the course before his injury, what golf fans across the globe did not realize was his struggles off the course. Now that he has come out to the light side of the tunnel, he has spoken about it openly, but Anthony Kim was battling drug and alcohol addiction. It was so bad that he would be taking bathroom breaks in the middle of rounds in order to get through the day.

This ongoing battle lasted two decades. A battle that he has said included him contemplating taking his own life for much of the 2000s. It reached a breaking point in 2023 when he was not even able to physically walk into a rehab center on his own.

In February of last year, Kim posted on social media saying that he was officially two years sober, and he did it for his wife Emily and for his young daughter Bella.

Upon exiting rehab, he was granted a shot on the LIV Tour, and after no standout performances throughout the last year, this week at LIV Adelaide (Australia)…madness ensued.

After a great Round 3 on Saturday, Kim successfully put himself in the final grouping alongside Bryson DeChambeau and Jon Rahm, two of the best golfers on the planet. He was 5 strokes back of the lead, so he wouldn’t win, but the story was still incredible.

Here in the States, as the clock struck midnight, all we kept seeing out of Kim was…

The guy. Just. Couldn’t Miss!!

He posted a Round 4 score of -9, and absolutely blew the doors off the competition. The roars from the crowd seemed as if they were out of a movie.

In the last 15 years, when I think of golf Tournament wins. I think of Tiger at the Masters in 2019. I think of Rory last year, and I now think of this.

There will be a movie about this and more interviews where we learn much more about his story, but man, just unbelievable.

The hug he has with his daughter and wife after winning. It’s everything. You can legitimately lose an hour scrolling through clips of his round, the crowd reactions, and his post-win interviews! Here are a few worth watching!
