In 1988, the Arizona Cardinals played their first-ever game against the Dallas Cowboys, they lost.

What’s Worth Your Time

🏀 A’ja Wilson: Certified Bucket Getter

Coming off of a league MVP and a WNBA Championship, Las Vegas Aces’ star A’ja Wilson came into this season just as hungry as before. With 26 seconds in the first half in their match-up against the Indiana Fever last night, Wilson hit a free throw line jumper.

It wasn’t just any jumper, it was to break the single-season scoring record. A’j’s’ jumper was her 940th and 941st point, breaking Jewell Lloyd’s record of 939. Besides Wilson’s new record, the top four are all from 2023. One was Wilson’s point total of 912 last year.

The Aces have four games left this season, so Wilson has time to SERIOUSLY pad onto her record. Pretty cool that the FUTURE of the league, Caitlin Clark, was on the court when she hit it… she comin’ for that record.

🃏 Cool Moment in the Trading Cards Scene

Can’t say I know a whole lot about the trading card scene. I remember I used to have some baseball cards and football cards when I was younger, but nothing more than just a few cards. The trading card scene has blown through the roof!

Kyle Kravitz (kingofthekards on IG) started posting on Instagram a couple of years ago to showcase his card collection that he had been building since he was a kid. He started with buying and selling cards that were worth $10 or $20 bucks. Now he does deals worth THOUSANDS!

Nothing is cooler than this moment right here ⬆️

He’s grown his account to now over 100k followers and has inspired a younger generation of card collectors. Give this vid 40 seconds you won’t regret it!

⛳️ The Match: LIV vs PGA

“The Match” has been something of interest in the golf off-season over the previous few years. Sometimes pairing celebrities and/or athletes from other sports with professional golfers and going 2v2. The famous one was Aaron Rodgers and Phil Mickelson vs Tom Brady and Tiger Woods.

This December, it’s Rory and Scottie versus Brooks and Bryson. LIV VS PGA. WOW. A truly electric matchup. Arguably the four biggest names in golf not named Tiger Woods on one course battling it out. The event will take place in Las Vegas in December, so the lights will be bright.

The craziest part of this is that Bryson and Brooks will be playing together, who would’ve thought this could be possible a few years ago when their VERY PUBLIC beef took over social media???

🏒 Cocaine Field Hockey Guy Suspended

Yeah, you read that right. To be honest, I wasn’t sure how to make a creative title with cocaine. Anyways, last month at the Paris Olympics, Australian field hockey player Tom Craig had a tough night out on the town. Craig was arrested trying to buy cocaine in central Paris.

Craig has been suspended for 12 months from competing in any Hockey Australia events, including the upcoming Hockey One League and FIH Pro League seasons. He’ll go through “mandatory training and education programs” as part of his suspension. I mean c’mon, look at that picture, DUDE LOOKS GUILTY!

C’mon Tom, they’re gonna see a white guy with an Australian accent in the Paris streets asking around for cocaine and OBVIOUSLY someone is going to say something about it. You’re not at home is Aussieland where people just do it willy nilly, you’re in the city of love baby!

⚽️ Deadpool On Field in Wrexham

A lot has been made about the boys of Wrexham, but their ability to accept the hype around their squad and answer the bell has been unreal.

For those of you have no idea what I’m talking about, Wrexham is a soccer club in Wales owned partly by Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney. They were really bad, they’re not so bad anymore, they’ve been winning quite a lot in their division and keep moving up.

One of their star players, Paul Mullin, who actually had a cameo in the newest Deadpool movie, put one in the back of the bin in their last match. He responded with a goal celebration where he threw on a Deadpool mask and shot up the finger guns.

BAD. FREAKING. ASS.

⚽️China Has a Soccer Gambling Problem

IF YOU READ ANYTHING TODAY, READ THIS! The Chinese Football Assosciation banned FORTY THREE players for life yesterday, along with five club officials. 17 others received five-year bans.

This comes out of a 2-year investigation that found 120 matches had been fixed, including 41 different clubs. 120 matches TAINTED and fixed for gambling purposes. That’s…..a lot. A lot A LOT.

This apparently is a big time problem in Chinese Soccer, and has been a stain on their Men’s National Team’s underperformance. In August, a former VP of the Chinese national football association was sentenced to 11 years in prison for accepting brides, while a former director of competition was sentenced to 7 years in prison for the same thing.

Yesterday, but the Good Stuff❗️❗️
