šŸ’ Mayhem To End Game 3

A fight broke out to end this one....

Good Morning, Stumpers!

We’ve got Lightning, we’ve got Eagles, we’ve got NHL, and we’ve got the Big Three in Tennis. A little bit of everything, what else could you ask for! Happy Tuesday to everybody! Let’s go!

šŸŽ¾ A look back at the Big Three! GLUE!

On This Day

āš½ļø Man City Becomes Immortal!

On this day in 2023…

Man City outlasts Inter Milan, 1-0, in the UEFA Champions League to complete historic English Soccer Triple Crown.

Man City won the Premier League (England’s top soccer league), the FA Cup (a knockout style English soccer tournament), and the UEFA Champions League (Europe’s Top Soccer Tournament).

Today’s Trivia

The all-time lead for WNBA MVPs is 3 times! 4 ladies have achieved this feat. Which of the following legends are not part of this elite class?

Yesterday’s Trivia Answer: A. Seattle Mariners! Sadly, Seattle is the only team that fits in this category. The Brewers, Rays, Padres, and Rockies all have made it, but have never won the big one!

Glue Guy of the Day

šŸŽ¾ The Greatness of The Big Three!

Glue Guy OTD: The Big 3

Call me in my tennis bag, but man the French Open turned my scroll feed into a endless supply of old tennis clips of matchups between Novak Djokovic, Rafa Nadal, and Roger Federer. Really can’t believe I got to watch those guys face off so many times.

So a clip saying that those three were all born in the 80s. The number of major wins for players born in the 80s is in the high 70s. The number of major wins for players born in the 90s? Two. Just two majors. What does that mean? That means that greatest of those three completely encompassed an entire decade of great tennis played.

People born in the 2000s? Seven! Carlos Alcaraz now has 5 and Sinner has 2! THey both made a big fan out of me last night, and I’m hoping to see them battle on the court for a long long time!

But here’s to the Big 3 of tennis! Glue!

Yesterday’s Moments

šŸ’ Panthers Roll at Home! Go Up 2-1!

The Stump Short Story: After an OT night in Game 1, and then a DOUBLE OT night for Game 2, there were only a few places to go in the Stanley Cup Final between the Edmonton Oilers and the Florida Panthers. The Panthers were not at home, and boy did they pounce! The final score was 6-1, with the Panthers scoring two goals in every single period, with 6 different players netting one! The series is now 2-1, and the Panthers are in control of this series! (VID OF THE CHAOS)

Why it Matters: Not everyday you get a finals game. We have been spoiled recently with many great sports moments, it’s easy to take a series for granted! After two great games, I’m sure we’re in for two more classics in this series! I can just feel it!

šŸ€ Knicks, Kidd Share Interest in Vacancy

The Stump Short Story: Well, if Kidd is looking, that means despite the Mavs possibly having a good looking future, he does not mind entertaining the thought of heading to Basketball’s Mecca. After the firing of Thibs, there have been many different takes on who would be able to fill the role. Could this be the right one?

Why it Matters: The Knicks were one crazy Game 1 shot away from being in the NBA Finals. I truly believe that. That shot changed everything! Now one of the most famous franchises is looking for a new head man.
